Work Clubs have been set up across East Staffordshire to help support individuals who are currently out of the labour market and looking for paid employment.

The Work Clubs aim to help individuals build new contacts, share job hunting experiences, get advice on interview techniques, completing  CV's and the opportunity to access volunteering opportunities to help gain new skills and relevant experience, not to mention an up to date reference.

East Staffordshire Community and Voluntary Service have supported the development of Work Clubs across East Staffordshire, there are now several community centres set up and ready to support individuals.

East Staffordshire CVS have been invited to sit on the National Steering group for Work Clubs, Neil Onions the Volunteer Centre Manager gave the following comment.....

"Being invited to sit on the new National Steering group for Work Clubs is something that we are extremely proud of and I believe it evidences the hard work and commitment ESCVS have put into developing Work Clubs across East Staffordshire, as well as successfully running our own Work Club"


ESCVS also co-ordinate a local steering group in which all other work clubs across East Staffordshire are invited to share best practice, discuss what's working, possible improvements and success stories.
